Course Description
Trademark rights can be fatal for every business at every stage of
development if they are not properly protected from the outset. Not
only are they related to the core competitiveness, operation and sustainable
development of the businesses, they are also reflected as valuable intangible
assets in acquired businesses. All companies should seek to effectively protect
their trademark after they are created and even after its successful
registration. This concern or sticky issue is even more pressing for those
companies in IPO, as evidenced by legal due diligence (an indispensable part of
IPO). Any trademark disputes shall cause substantial delay in IPO for listing
applicants or in some extreme cases, may hold up their IPO or result in their
withdrawal from IPO, leading to great loss to them financially and in
reputation. This webinar intends to give the attendees a briefing on trademark
registration process and ways to avoid such losses from happening to companies.
Riding on this important topic, a formal seminar shall follow.
